This year’s indoor mini session option features beautiful florals in peach and yellow! The design is fresh and ornate and perfect for sessions with the little ones. - Where will the sessions be held?
Each session has its own unique location! See session listing for details. - What if it rains?
If your session is outdoors and if there’s a high chance of rain, they will be rescheduled. If you are not able to make the rain date, you are welcome to switch your booking to another available theme, you can book an individually scheduled weeknight session at a location of my choice, or I will refund your session fee. Indoor sessions will only be rescheduled for emergencies (ie: snow or photographer illness) - What if I need to reschedule for illness or any other reason?
I understand that things come up! If you need to reschedule, you may switch to any other available mini session date. If you cannot make any of the dates listed, or if all dates are full, contact Cara and we’ll do a weeknight OUTDOOR mini session at a location of my choice. There are NO REFUNDS for reschedules for any reason other than rain, and makeup sessions must be photographed before the end of the 2026 portrait season – they will not transfer to 2027. - How many people can be in the session?
Minis are ideal for immediate families, children, couples, maternity, or individual portraits. If you have an extended family group, please reach out so we can discuss option. If you have a large immediate family (more than 6 people) please do not book the White Christmas option, as that studio is not very big, all other options are fine for larger immediate families - Are pets allowed?
Yes – for outdoor sessions. The indoor sessions are not pet friendly. - Is 15 minutes enough time?
I’ve been doing mini sessions for years, and I find that 15 minutes is perfect for families with school aged, teen, or adult children. Babies and toddlers sometimes need a bit more time to warm up to the camera, but I can usually get a few smiles in that short time. If you’d like a longer session you are welcome to book back to back spots! - What should we wear?
Once booked, I’ll provide a style guide to help you coordinate outfits. There are some colors that work best for specific sessions; here are my recommendations. Actual set photos are below for reference!- OUTDOOR SPRING BLOOMS: soft neutrals and pastels photograph wonderfully with the soft pinks and creams at this location
- INDOOR SPRING SESSIONS: This studio is mostly white, and pastel colors would look stunning! Blues and sage greens would be very nice, as would yellow or salmon pink tones. Avoid bubble gum or blush pinks.
- How many images will we receive?
You’ll receive a gallery of edited images to choose from, with a 5 digital images included in your package. Additional images will be available for purchase. - When will we receive our photos?
Your gallery will be delivered within two weeks after your session. - How do I book?
